Seen as though I am studying fashion and textiles, I thought I should start posting about my work.. Im coming towards the end of my first year of college now and im enjoying sewing so much! For my first college assignment, I had to construct a garment, so I decided to make a denim layered scallop dress.. it took me so much time and so much stress considering it is the first ever item of clothing I have made, but I was happy with the outcome!
I used a dress making pattern to make this and it cost me so much money to make, as the fabric is denim.. however, the fabric suits really well to the dress type.
I had 8 weeks to make this garment and wow it was the most stressful time I have ever gone through.. I was so happy when I finished it! This was for my first fashion assignment and I have just recently started my second assignment, which I am making a Cynthia Rowley two-piece set, of a cropped top and trousers, which I will be creating a new post when im finished constructing it! I am going to start posting about my college work and also keep a look out for posts about the brand Fashion Prescription, who I am new to become an online marketing intern for... :)
